At King’s Schools, the athletic program serves as a means to support and realize the mission of the school. As an extension of the classroom, athletics allow students to compete, to achieve goals, and to become well-rounded young men and women of strong moral character. These are consistent with the school’s Christian standard.
Athletics provide an opportunity to practice the principles of life, such as subjecting one’s self to authority, working together as members of a team, and controlling the emotions that arise in competition. Athletic competition offers an arena for the demonstration of our commitment to excellence and our desire to succeed through individual, team, and program goals. A student-athlete has a responsibility to maintain high standards in the classroom first. Once proven to perform well in the classroom, the student will be given the opportunity to represent the school on the athletic field.
King’s Middle School competes in fall, winter and spring seasons as a part of the local Middle School athletic league. We offer the following sports options: football, volleyball, basketball, and soccer.
