In 2014, an Endowment Fund was created by a group of enthusiastic donors who wanted to bless the school and honor one of their friends, Mr. Frank Trane. Mr. Trane was personally responsible for erecting the cross on the hill in Palm Desert that is a community landmark for all to see. Consequently, this year, $3,000 scholarships were awarded to five students who best exemplify the personal qualities of Mr. Trane, as determined by the Selection Committee. All K-8 students are eligible to apply in the Spring of each year, and interviews are conducted with each finalist before the selection is made and announced by the end of the school year. With a life of its own, the ECD (“Every Child Deserves”) Scholarship Program has provided over $2M in scholarships to deserving students (K-8) since its inception in 2004. Birthed from atop a local billboard by Mr. DeLair (that’s a story in and of itself), scholarship funds are raised each year from churches, foundations, businesses, and individuals who “sponsor” one or more students because they believe every child deserves an education at King’s. Their identity is not known to the families they support, but their generosity changes lives forever. Sponsorships are available for $7,400 (KING’S CROWN), $3,700 (KING’S KNIGHT), and $2,600 (KING’S COURT) and can be paid annually or monthly. For more information or to sponsor a student, please contact the Development Office.
This has been one of the most popular events in the history of King’s Schools because of its fun-filled nature for the whole family. We rent out the local bowling alley for the day and students are given incentives to recruit “Lane Sponsors” that make-up the majority of money raised that day. Raffles, Bowl-Offs, and other activities help to make this event successful for the school in its efforts to raise funds needed for scholarships and other designated needs. King’s Schools is committed to spreading the gospel message of Jesus Christ around the world. This Missions Fund was established to give the community an opportunity to give toward various mission groups and outreaches. As a 501(c)3 organization, all contributions made to the Missions Fund are tax-deductible. For more information on how you can help these groups or outreaches, please contact the Development Office.
This is our largest fundraising event of the year that showcases our school to the community at a 2 hour breakfast event. This is arguably the most powerful 2 hours of the entire year! TABLE CAPTAINS do the bulk of the inviting to their friends and family members who are asked to consider becoming a member of our “Lasting Legacy Society” by making a multi-year pledge to King’s Schools. No one who attends is obligated to give – it is the goal of the school to motivate people to give. For more information or to donate, please contact the Development Office.
Typical of most non-profit organizations, King’s Schools does two annual mailings (December and May) to our entire donor base asking for contributions to the Annual Fund. There is no event associated with this effort and many who make donations are past King’s families or donors who live out of the area. Donations to the Annual Fund are designated toward school needs that are determined on an annual basis. For more information or to donate, please contact the Development Office.
